When Donald G. Tarver formed the organization that would become the Breast Cancer Relief Foundation, it was the chance for him to start over.

He was president of another charity cancer. He was accused by the IRS for paying high amount of money to its solicitors.

Tarver started Breast Cancer Relief Foundation in 1987. But he hired the same fundraising company and continued to pay the company the majority of donations in the name of charity.

After the death of Tarver in 2002, his brother and brother-in-law took over the organization. Breast Cancer Relief again continued to divert millions away from cancer patients. 

For the last decade, this organization was one of the most useless and wasteful charities in the nation. These words are according to the records shown by the IRS. During that period, the charity collected nearly $ 64 million with the help of professional fundraisers.

Sadly it allowed these companies to keep 70 percent of donations.

Just over 2 percent of donations were given directly to hospitals or women who needed breast cancer screening. The charity also reported the shipment of medical supplies to Africa and Central America over the last four years. That worth millions of dollars.

Breast Cancer Relief changed its name three times in the last 25 years. According to Annis Tarver, sister-in-law of Donald Tarver the organization is now merged with the National Cancer Coalition .

National Cancer Coalition in the Times/CIR list, is also one of the worst charities of America. National Cancer Coalition is headed by son-in-law of Annis Tarver, Robert Landry. Annis Tarver referred all the questions to Landry, who used to keep not showing any responce to several calls or a certified letter.
